UPPER MARLBORO, Md. — A Prince George’s County firefighter has been jailed without bond on child pornography charges.

Joshua Edmund Murphy, 35, of Brunswick is facing multiple counts of child pornography promotion and distribution, solicitation, and possession.

The fire department said it’s aware of the investigation the Frederick County man is facing. They say they’re “fully cooperating” with investigators.

Police have not elaborated on the nature of the investigation beyond announcing the charges Murphy is facing.

His next court appearance is slated for Monday.
