GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Police were called to the Friendship House, Inc. in eastern Grand Island after a van crashed into the building on Saturday.

The crash happened near West First and South Cleburn streets at 1 p.m.

The building was a halfway house to provide a place where adult men can recover from substance abuse and aid in the transition of their recovery. According to the house’s owner, no one was living at the house at the time of the crash.
