High school football playoff action got underway across Utah on Friday night as teams across the state battled to stay in contention in their respective classifications.
While a number of Southern Utah schools had earned first-round byes due to being among the top seeds in their brackets, there were a handful of games involving local teams on Friday night.
In 3A action, the Canyon View Falcons came up short in a close game at home vs. the Ogden Tigers. And in 4A, Region 9 teams Dixie and Desert Hills both lost on the road.
