MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. (WFIE) - The Mount Carmel Fire Department say they responded to an early morning apartment fire.
According to their official Facebook, responders arrived around 4:00 a.m. to an active fire at 330 W 10th Street.
They say an apartment at Tower Heights, also known as High Rise Apartments, was on fire.
Officials say the resident was able to make it out, and other first responders helped evacuate the building.
The fire department was able to contain the fire to the one room.
Viewer sent us video of responders on scene.
They say the First Apostolic Church opened its doors for residents who were evacuated as fire crews tackled the fire.
At this time, no injuries have been reported.
The fire is still under investigation.
