A teenager has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Melbourne’s north.

The 19-year-old man was found with a stab wound on the corner of Kitchener and Goulburn St in Broadmeadows about 9.35pm on Saturday.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Police are investigating whether the incident is related to a brawl nearby shortly before.

It is understood a group of men armed with machetes were fighting on Cuthbert and Joffre St about 9.30pm.

They fled the scene in cars before police arrived.
