ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - The Beacon Health System held its second annual youth summit.

The free event brought together more than 300 students and community participants, to the Tolson Center for Community Excellence.

Attendees got a hands-on experience learning about health care. It featured more than 30 interactive learning stations with doctors, nurses and other medical professionals.

Dr. Dale Okordudu from Black Men in White Coats delivered the keynote address. The goal of the event is to connect the youth to pathways into medicine.
