SEATTLE, Wash. (WCIA) -- Giving up nearly 449 yards of total offense and losing the turnover battle played a big part in the Illini's 42-25 loss to Washington, as the Orange and Blue fall to 5-3 on the season.
The Huskies converted on 9-of-12 third-down conversions, completing 27-of-34 passes for 292 total yards. Illinois was also 9-of-12 on third down.
Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. threw for four touchdowns, with wide receiver Denzel Boston throwing for one more.
For the Illini, Luke Altmyer completed 22-of-34 passes, throwing for 199 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions, his first multi-interception game of the season.
