URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) -- The second biggest pride festival in the state took over the streets of Urbana Saturday, with people celebrating the 15-year-anniversary of the organization behind it.

Uniting Pride's mission is to make sure all LGBTQIA+ people in the region can live happy, healthy and vibrant lives. Organizers said that the festival is a way to bring the community together and celebrate love and joy.

On Saturday, there was a parade, nearly 200 booths, music and food trucks downtown.

"Not only is it just super fun and everyone can be themselves; they feel safe, they feel loved," said Adelaide Aime, Uniting Pride's treasurer. "But it also is a way for people to hear about, and have a path to, our other services."
