The National Weather Service issued an updated weather alert at 4:38 p.m. on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 5:30 p.m. for Oregon Lower Treasure Valley and Malheur County.

Look for pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) and wind gusts of up to 55 mph.

"At 4:38 p.m., Doppler radar tracked strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near New Plymouth to near Homedale. Movement was east at 50 mph," explains the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Areas of blowing dust reducing visibility. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible."

Expect strong thunderstorms in the following locations:

Parma, Homedale, New Plymouth, and Wilder around 4:40 p.m.

Caldwell, Middleton, Sand Hollow, and Huston around 4:50 p.m.

Nampa, Emmett, Eagle
