LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Shortly before 8 p.m. Friday, units from Anchorage-Middletown Fire & EMS and St. Matthews Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on the 3100 block of Stonebridge Road, near Tom Sawyer Park off Westport Road.
First responders arrived within five minutes to find flames coming through the roof of a two-story, single-family home.
Crews quickly deployed a large-caliber hose line to knock down the main body of the fire before making entry to conduct an interior attack, containing the blaze to the structure of origin.
Two adult occupants had already exited the home and were not injured.
The house sustained extensive damage, and the residents are staying temporarily with neighbors.
No firefighters were reported injured.
