The Army ice hockey season got underway on October 3, and will reach into the Atlantic Hockey America playoffs in March.
Army is the seventh-oldest college hockey program in the NCAA, originating in 1904 with Union. The oldest programs are Yale (1896), Brown (1898), Harvard (1898), Princeton (1900), Cornell (1901) and RPI (1901).
Zach McKelvie takes over as head coach after serving the past decade as assistant coach under the retired Brian Riley.
The Black Knights were picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic Hockey America coaches' poll.
