In the Portland Winterhawks’ home opener after 6 weeks of road games, they easily knock off the Saskatoon Blades, who came into the game with the Western Hockey League’s 3rd-best record. They score the first five goals of the game and cruise from there, 6-3.

In taking a balanced attack to an absurd level, the Winterhawks had 12 players on the scoresheet, but only Carsyn Dyck, who scored two goals, had more than one point.

It’s Portland’s third straight win, and their second win of a three-games-in-three-days weekend.
