ARGYLE, Minn. — Both sides of the ball made big plays when it mattered most for Stephen-Argyle on Saturday.
In its 26-7 Section 8 9-man semifinal win over Goodridge-Grygla, the offense set the tone in the first half and the defense finished the job in the second.
Two touchdown runs of over 50 yards and high-pressure sacks from the defense were just what Stephen-Argyle head coach Ethan Marquis was looking for at Jay Sorenson Memorial Field.
“It was a nice first half of moving the ball and decent second half with improved effort on defense," Marquis said. "We’re able to get two scores in each half and shut them out in the second half so, it was a really good day for us."
The Chargers did most of the work for Stephen-Argyle when it came to chewing the clock. Back-to-back long, methodical
