JAMESTOWN, N.D. — The Grand Forks Red River boys cross country team placed two in the all-state ranks at the North Dakota Class A state meet on Saturday at Pipestem Reservoir.
Junior Cohen Dunnigan earned all-state honors for the third year in a row with a seventh-place finish, while classmate Scott Johnson also received the distinction by finishing 20th.
Bismarck, behind individual champion Owen Hintz, won the team title.
Hintz, a senior, finished in 15 minutes, 27.8 seconds. Fargo Davies' Luka Rout was second in 15:52.2.
Dunnigan came in at 16:23.8.
Grand Forks Central was led by Grant Martin (30th) and Ben Sickler (33rd).
In the team race, Red River was ninth with 307 points, followed by Central in 10th with 318.
On the girls' side, Grand Forks' top finisher was Emmi Ihry of Gran
