One night after the Toronto Blue Jays’ biggest win in 32 years, they were hoping to recreate some magic in Game 2 of the World Series.
Coming off an 11-4 victory in Game 1 on Friday night at the Rogers Centre, the Blue Jays faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers with the opportunity to take a perhaps unthinkable 2-0 lead in the championship round.
But the magic will have to wait another day, with the Dodgers evening the series 1-1 by way of a 5-1 win. The two teams head back to Los Angeles for the next three games of the series.
The Dodgers got on the board early in the top of the first inning by way of a Will Smith RBI single, though it’d take them six innings before they’d score again.
