CAMBRIDGE, Mass. —
A small dog had to be treated for injuries after becoming stuck in an escalator at the Harvard MBTA Station last weekend.
The Cambridge Fire Department says the accident occurred on Oct. 18 around 11 p.m.
Crews discovered the back paws of the little dog were trapped in the escalator.
Firefighters were able to free the dog and transported the dog and its owner to an emergency veterinarian facility for further treatment.
The dog's injuries are not considered to be life-threatening, according to fire officials.
"Escalators are unforgiving," a Cambridge Fire Department spokesperson said. "Always pay attention. Use extra caution, especially with small children and animals. Prevent injuries."
