“During a casual lunch with a close relative, I learned that they frequently give money to their grown adult children who are employed and healthy. I did not get into the specifics of how long this has gone on, or all of the reasons, in part because I was too shocked to want to know more. The primary one that I deduced is that my relative says life is way too hard for the younger generation.
