Maitland halfback Brock Lamb has been named the club's first-grade player of the year for the 2025 season, in which they won a record fourth straight Newcastle RL premiership.
Lamb adds the club award to the Newcastle RL player of the year award in a season, Pickers coach Matt Lantry said, had proved beyond doubt Lamb is one of the toughest and most talented players in the competition.
A sickness in the family prevented Lamb from attending the awards night at which Pickers favourites Matt Soper-Lawler and Chad O'Donnell were presented with life membership.
Lamb also won the best back award, while Pickers skipper Sam Anderson won the best forwards, and hooker Harrison Spruce won the coveted players' player award.
