( 25News Now ) - The road to the State Cross Country finals officially kicked off today with regionals across the state.

At the 2A Limestone Regional, Peoria Notre Dame swept both the team titles, and the individual titles with Max Kirby winning the boy’s title, and Lillian Chaddock winning the girl’s title. Also in 2A at the Metamora Regional, Normal West was the girls’ team champ led by individual champ Renee Warren; Morton’s Zach Born was the top boys’ individual finisher in third place.

At the 1A Farmington Regional, Eureka sweeps both team titles, with Gavin Stalter winning the boys’ individual title; Illini Bluff’s Audrey Dickinson was the girls’ individual champ.
