CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on the campus of Lincoln University in Chester County Saturday night during homecoming festivities.
Oxford Borough Police told FOX43 that nine people were injured during the incident, seven of which sustained gunshot wounds and two that suffered other medical conditions. No fatalities have been reported as of 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Officials said the shooting occurred at 9:12 p.m. No suspects are in custody, but police said that there is no active threat at this time.
The Chester County District Attorney's Office said in a statement that is aware of a shooting on the campus, with reports of multiple victims.
The DA said that law enforcement has responded to the scene and an active investigation is underway. Off
