The Chattanooga Mocs football team used 35 unanswered points to help earn its third-straight victory after posting a 49-13 rout at Samford during Southern Conference action Saturday afternoon inside Pete Hanna Stadium in Birmingham, Ala.
It was the 50th all-time meeting. Chattanooga now leads the series 35-12-3.
Samford opened the scoring on its second possession with a seven-play, 47-yard touchdown drive capped off with a one-yard plunge to allow for an early 7-0 lead (1Q 8:20).
Chattanooga responded with 35 unanswered points over the next two-plus quarters. The Mocs led 14-7 at halftime after A.J. Little returned a punt 47 yards for a touchdown midway through the second quarter.
