EUGENE - Oregon offensive lineman Gernorris Wilson is no stranger to the end zone, having scored a touchdown last season against Maryland.
But when he found the end zone on a 1-yard touchdown reception during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 21-7 win over Wisconsin, the 6-foot-5, 318-pound Wilson took things up a notch.
Wilson got his groove on while thinking about a humorous comedy sketch from the Key & Peele show , which ran on Comedy Central from 2012-15.
Wilson said he had been working on his dance for several weeks, but debated whether to do it if he scored.
“Originally, I wasn’t going to do it,” Wilson said. “But when it just happened, man, I just said, ‘Freak it, if they throw the flag, they throw the flag.’”
