Why did God make mosquitoes? There must be a reason they exist. I am being eaten alive by mosquitoes. Even though I have sprayed myself with toxic amounts of mosquito repellent, they’re still finding their way to that one unsprayed point, like between my toes and that oh-so-hard to reach spot on my back.
Some scientists believe that eliminating mosquitos would save many lives because they carry so many diseases. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, mosquitoes are the most deadly animal in the world, killing hundreds of thousands of people and making millions more sick each year.
So in frustration, I went in search of an answer. If God made mosquitoes, they must be good for something, right?
