US President Donald Trump on Sunday praised Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir as “great people” and assured that tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be resolved ‘very quickly’. His remarks came during a speech at the ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur.

Trump again reiterated his administration’s record on ending conflicts, saying, “Ended 8 wars in 8 months. I heard that Pakistan and Afghanistan have started up, but I will solve it very quickly. Pakistan Field Marshal and PM are great people.”
