JACKSON TWP. − The only thing warmer than Mark Stuhldreher's smile is the food made fresh at his job.
For 40 years, Stuhldreher has been a welcoming presence at the Wendy's resturant at 3217 Whipple Ave. NW where he works as a greeter.
"Markie always has a smile," said General Manager Virginia Dotson, who presented him with a pie-sized chocolate chip cookie — his favorite. "His interaction with the customers is just amazing. A lot of customers come to Wendy's just for Mark. If he's not here, you know it."
The 1981 Perry High School graduate said he acquired his job through the former Stark County MRDD workshop.
He works part time Monday through Friday.
"My favorite part of the job is to greet people who come into the restaurant," he said. "I try to help them out as best I can. "
