GENDER

I take issue with Parnell Palme McGuinness’ argument (″⁣Woke part of wider gender divide″⁣, 26/10), as it reflects a troubling amnesia about the fear and devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic. We too easily forget the days when body bags filled our screens as thousands all over the world were dying daily and hospitals were overflowing with patients too weak to stand.

We have reframed the truth to suit current agendas, erasing the memory of a time when isolation was the only protection against a deadly, untreatable virus and governments in Australia wisely follow
