The outdoors are a treat to enjoy in Alberta, and one hiking trail nestled in a national park has been named one of the best in the world.
The list of 10 places published by the U.K.-based media and hospitality magazine Time Out has named a spot in Jasper National Park as one of the best hiking trails on the planet.
Coming in ninth place, the Bald Hills Trail in Jasper National Park is a 15-kilometre roundtrip hike that offers dazzling views of nearby Maligne Lake .
In addition to the lush forest and chance to see some wildlife during the hike, the Bald Hills Trail is also a somewhat short one to tackle, running hikers anywhere between four to six hours to complete. It does have a 500-metre elevation gain, so be sure to take plenty of breaks and enjoy the views.
