Two men have been nicked after a street brawl broke out in Newport in the early hours of Sunday, October 26. Gwent Police were called to Church Street at around 1.10am following reports of several people scrapping in the street.
The force has confirmed that two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident, and are now appealing for any witnesses to step forward, reports Wales Online .
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "Officers are appealing for information following reports of disorder on Church Street this morning.
"We were called to Church Street, Newport, at around 1.10am on Sunday, October 26, to reports of around eight people fighting in the street.
