EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair will remain closed on Sunday, October 26, because of weather conditions.

Officials with the fair said they’ve determined the area is still too wet for vehicles to park and for rides to operate.

Organizers are working to reschedule the high school volunteer awards ceremony and the Lego Extravaganza. They are also working to determine whether the fair will be able to reopen on Monday, October 27.

This is the second day in a row that the fair was shut down. Officials initially announced the opening of the fair would be delayed on Saturday, October 25, but later said it would not open at all.
