MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A large house party ended with one person in custody after a reported stabbing in Mesa early Sunday morning.

Mesa officers were called to the stabbing around 1 a.m. at a home near Dobson and Baseline roads , where a large party was being held. One person was stabbed and rushed to the hospital, but is expected to survive.

Police say one person who is believed to be the suspect is in custody. Arizona’s Family crews witnessed one person being put into handcuffs by officers at the scene. Other partygoers were sitting on sidewalks speaking to officers.

The suspect’s age and name have not yet been released. Authorities are working to determine what led up to the stabbing.
