LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A shooting at a Russell neighborhood club left one man dead.

Louisville police responded at 11:45 p.m. Saturday to Club Cedar at the corner of 26th Street and Cedar Street. In the club’s parking lot, officers found a man in his 40s who had been shot in the head. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.

LMPD’s Homicide Unit has taken control of the investigation. Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control was also on scene and is actively investigating.
