ROCHESTER, N.Y (WROC) — A stolen vehicle investigation led to a police pursuit Saturday night that ended in the arrest of three people.

According to the Greece Police Department, officers were alerted by the department’s License Plate Reader system about a stolen Jeep traveling along West Ridge Road shortly after 7 p.m. When officers tried to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to pull over, sparking a chase that continued into the city of Rochester.

A Greece officer deployed spike strips during the pursuit, successfully deflating the jeep’s tires and bringing it to a controlled stop on Dewey Avenue. With assistance from the New York State Police Aviation Unit and the Rochester Police Department's K9 Unit, officers surrounded the vehicle and attempted to get the suspects to surrender.
