Shoppers across the UK are being told to check their kitchen cupboards after a number of popular food products were removed from supermarket shelves this week.

The Food Standards Agency has published urgent warnings for items sold at major retailers, including Lidl, Aldi , and Morrisons .

The recalls affect a variety of products, ranging from snacks to meat and condiments, due to undeclared allergens or potential contamination that could pose serious health risks.

One notable product is said to contain "small pieces of metal", which presents a risk if eaten.
