FOXBOROUGH – For the second-straight week, the Patriots ' depth at safety will be tested.

Kyle Dugger is inactive and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns after suffering a knee injury. Dugger started the last two Patriots games in place of Jaylinn Hawkins, who was out with a hamstring injury.

Dugger popped up on the injury report on Thursday with a knee ailment. He was limited in the team’s last two practices and listed as questionable.

Without Dugger, the Patriots will likely start Hawkins and rookie Craig Woodson. The team also has Dell Pettus and Brenden Schooler on the depth chart. On Saturday, the Patriots also elevated veteran safety Richie Grant from the practice squad.
