Welcoming 2026 NFL Draft festivities to Pittsburgh next spring will be a good thing for the region, but the two candidates seeking to take over leadership of the city government in January say they want to make sure it’s more than a big party on the North Shore.
Republican candidate Tony Moreno and Democratic candidate Corey O’Connor faced off in a debate broadcast on WPXI-TV, a little more than a week before voters go to the polls Nov. 4 to choose a successor to Mayor Ed Gainey, who Mr. O’Connor defeated in the May Democratic primary. The two candidates also debated earlier in October, an event hosted by KDKA.
