Legendary New York Jets football player Nick Mangold has died at the age of 41.
This tragic news comes just weeks after the official Jets Instagram published a letter her wrote, letting fans know he needed a kidney transplant.
“In 2006, I was diagnosed with a genetic defect that has led to chronic kidney disease. I’m undergoing dialysis as we look for a kidney transplant. I always knew this day would come, but I thought I would have more time,” he wrote . He requested anyone with type O blood who was willing to donate to get in touch.
