POTSDAM, N.Y. — Tyler Young played his first collegiate game in Cheel Arena.
That was three years ago when he played for Merrimack.
When Young got the call Saturday to go into UND's lineup for the first time, he had a good feeling. The Fighting Hawks were back in Cheel Arena to take on Clarkson.
"I think there was a comfortability there," Young said. "The guys, all week, were telling me, 'When you get your chance, you're going to perform.' That helps with the confidence."
Young stepped in and made an instant impact, playing on the fourth line with center David Klee and left winger Anthony Menghini.
Although they didn't end up on the scoresheet, they combined for 18 offense-generating plays and head coach Dane Jackson rolled all four lines until the end of the game.
