The Jets organization will be playing with heavy hearts after they suffered a gigantic loss on Sunday afternoon.

Just hours before their Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals , former center Nick Mangold suddenly passed away due to complications from kidney disease. He was only 41 years old.

Mangold had recently reached out with a message to fans via social media less than two weeks ago looking for a kidney transplant after he was unable find a match.

Mangold was beloved in the Jets community, easily one of the fan favorites during his entire playing career for Gang Green, as he played a huge part in the team's back-to-back runs to the AFC championship game in 2009 and 2010.
