Police in Delta say they are investigating after an overnight shooting that they believe was targeted and related to extortion.

Officers were called to a residence on 78B Avenue and 112th Street at 2:43 a.m., where they found shell casing and confirmed that several shots were fired at the home.

The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no injuries have been reported.

CCTV footage shows a suspect getting out of a white SUV and firing several shots into the home before fleeing the scene.

“Preliminary Investigation indicates this to be a targeted incident and related to an extortion investigation,” the Delta Police Department (DPD) said.
