Khalil Abdul-Aziz passed for 270 yards and five touchdowns and added another score on the ground as Orange Vista cruised to a 52-14 victory over North in an Ivy League game Friday evening.
The performance pushed Abdul-Aziz beyond the 10,000-yard milestone for his career. He is only the fourth quarterback in Inland Empire history to reach that mark, joining Jayden Daniels (Cajon), Hank Bachmeier (Murrieta Valley) and Armando Herrera (Redlands East Valley).
Orange Vista (6-3 overall, 4-0 in league) also clinched at least a share of the program’s fourth straight Ivy League title. The Coyotes have won 17 consecutive games in league play.
