JOHNSON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — Part of I-40 in Johnson County, Arkansas, was closed following a crash involving a cattle truck that killed at least two people on Oct. 25.
Arkansas State Police (ASP) posted to Facebook around 7 p.m. on Saturday that the agency was working a crash with multiple deaths at the 70-mile marker on I-40 westbound.
The post said traffic was being diverted at Exit 74 onto US Highway 64, and that drivers should expect significant delays.
At around 9:30 p.m. IDrive Arkansas showed closures between Knoxville and London, with slowdowns beyond that.
ASP told 5NEWS around that time that drivers should find alternate routes as that portion of I-40 westbound would be closed for "much of the night."
