Louisiana State Police have found a 6-year-old Ponchatoula boy who was reported missing Saturday after his father allegedly assaulted his mother with a hunting knife and fled with the boy.
The boy's father, 45-year-old Joshua Beall, was taken into custody, Louisiana State Police said Sunday afternoon.
Beall, who was wanted on counts of home invasion and aggravated second-degree battery of a dating partner, allegedly injured the boy's mother around 10 p.m. Saturday at her home in Franklinton and fled with the boy. State Police issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office the following morning.
