NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department says I-610 at Elysian Fields Avenue has reopened in both directions after a temporary closure caused by a downed power line.

Entergy crews were on the scene working to safely clear the roadway. The closure was expected to last about 20 minutes.

Motorists are urged to use alternate routes and exercise caution in the area. Authorities will provide an update once all lanes are reopened.
