Targeted shootings at a Surrey and a Delta home occurred at exactly the same time early Sunday morning.
The Surrey Police Service said police responded to reports of shots being fired at a home in the 7800-block of 124th Street at 2:43 a.m. and found gunshot damage to the outside of the home.
The Delta Police Department said its officers responded to a similar call at 2:43 a.m. from a home in the 11200-block of 78B Avenue, roughly 12 blocks away from the Surrey incident. In that case police also arrived to find evidence of several gunshots directed at the home.
In both cases there were people inside the homes but no one was injured.
