HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Thousands of people turned out for the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk on Sunday morning.

The annual event helps to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the fight against breast cancer.

An emotional and inspirational moment as survivors and those currently battling the disease walked through the pathway of hope, surrounded by cheering loved ones and friends.

An extremely emotional day for Kathy LaBlanc, who’s undergoing treatment.

“I was diagnosed in February of this year,” said LaBlanc.

She came out to this years walk with a group of family and friends, hoping to raise awareness and funds to battle this disease.
