2BRONX, NY – A hit-and-run driver slammed into an NYPD patrol vehicle and a bicyclist during a chaotic Bronx collision Friday afternoon before abandoning his SUV and fleeing on foot, police said.

The incident unfolded around 2:58 p.m. near Westchester Avenue and White Plains Road.

Two uniformed officers had attempted to stop the suspect’s black Ford Bronco when he accelerated toward them, striking their patrol car.
