FOXBOROUGH - The thought of facing Myles Garrett scares most quarterbacks.
Drake Maye?
He was more terrified about the opening introductions.
Instead of coming out as a team, which had been the tradition since 2001, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel wanted the players to get some recognition, having the starters introduced, and having them run out of the tunnel one-by-one.
The offensive starters got the nod this week, so Maye was the last one in line to be introduced. It had him a little on edge waiting in the tunnel for his turn.
“Yeah, I was a little bit nervous for it,” Maye said following the 32-13 win over the Cleveland Browns. “You always see other teams do it. I got literally no swag, so I just go out there and run.”
There were no waves or salutes to the crowd, no hops up and dow
