SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Nebraska (KCAU) – A Nebraska American Legion Post was providing food to the community while raising money for their fellow veterans.
Over at the American Legion Post 307 in South Sioux City, dozens of people lined up to grab a burger and hot dogs.
While the food was free, folks could donate however much they wanted for the meal and even participate in a silent auction with all proceeds going towards the Norfolk Veterans Home for upkeep and funding programs.
Officials say this event has been going on for decades, being held at different American Legion Posts in the eastern part of Nebraska, and the event had a great turnout.
