PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale left the team’s game against the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury. Ekuale went down in the second quarter of the Sunday Night Football game and is doubtful to return.
After being examined by trainers, he limped off the field and went into the blue medical tent. Ekuale came out of the tent without his helmet and immediately walked down into the locker room, signaling his day is likely all but over.
Ekuale has played in all seven games for the Steelers so far as their reserve nose tackle. Without him, it will likely signal more Ezesi Otomewo into the game when the Steelers rotate their defensive line.
