INDIANAPOLIS --- With the Indianapolis Colts leading by multiple scores in the fourth quarter against the divisional rival Tennessee Titans, Colts coach Shane Steichen had a decision to make: Leave his starters in or give them a rest and keep them fresh for next week?
Resting running back Jonathan Taylor was an easy decision. Every running back touch is taxing and having a fresh Taylor will be imperative for a Colts team eyeing a deep playoff run. The toughest call was what to do with receiver Michael Pittman Jr. The former USC star had 95 yards against the Titans. No Colts receiver has reached 100 yards this season. Pittman could've been the first, but the six-year veteran kept the bigger picture in mind, deciding not to return to the game in the fourth quarter.
